Slack Notifications

Silent failures in LLM and agent workflows don’t show up in logs or traces. Okareo monitors these workflows in real time, catching issues like:

  • Hallucinated responses
  • Broken decision flows
  • Scope violations and unauthorized outputs

To help you act quickly when these issues occur, Okareo supports Slack notifications. This integration lets you send alerts to any Slack channel when a monitor is triggered—so you can stay informed without polling the dashboard.

Prerequisites

Before you connect Slack:

  • Your app should already be streaming data to Okareo
  • You should have at least one Monitor set up (via the Monitors tab in the dashboard)
  • To verify data is flowing:
  • Go to the Issues page in the Okareo dashboard
  • Run a test through your app
  • Confirm that data appears under All Datapoints or under a specific monitor

Connecting to Slack

  1. In Okareo, open Notifications under User and Org Settings
  2. Click Add to Slack
  3. Follow the authorization instructions.
  4. Select the default channel where alerts should be sent. You can override this per-monitor

Adding Notifications to a Monitor

  1. Navigate to the Monitors tab
  2. Select the monitor you want to configure
  3. Click the Edit icon
  4. Under Notification Preferences, enable Slack
  5. Select the types of issues you want to trigger alerts (e.g. hallucinations, broken flows)
  6. (Optional) Specify a Slack channel if different from the default
  7. Click Save to apply changes.

Notification Behavior

Slack alerts are triggered as soon as an issue is detected by a Monitor

If you want daily or weekly digests, email notifications are also available.
